AC/Heater control panel bulbs
This is on my 2001 Dakota. Has anyone found a parts store that sells the correct replacement light bulb for the lights in the AC/Heater control panel? All I have is the part number for it out of the Dakota Service Manual, 6233137 and none of the regular parts stores around here sell it. I will have to go to the dealer if I can't find it locally.
One of the bulbs in the AC control panel in my truck is out and I fugure the others probably are not far behind. I'd like to replace them all at one time but I don't want to pay the dealer's price unless I absolutely have to.
Thanks.
Jimmy

An update here, maybe it will help someone else who has this problem. No parts store sells the right bulb for the AC/Heater control panel. I had to get the new bulbs from the Dodge dealer, and they had to special order them in for me, but they had the bulbs for me the next day. The bulbs only cost $2.20 each. It is part #5013815-AA if anyone needs to order them.
It was easy to replace the bulbs, all you do is remove the dash panel and there are 3 white circuit board type bulbs on the back of the heater/ac control panel. Use a thin flat head screwdriver in the slot on the back of the bulb and turn it counter-clockwise a quarter of a turn and slide the screwdriver under the edge of the bulb and lift it out.
To install the new bulb, line up the 2 tabs on the new bulb with the 2 notches in the hole where the bulb goes on the back of the control panel, drop the bulb in place and turn it clockwise a quarter turn to seat the new bulb in place.
There are only 3 bulbs for the control panel. I replaced all 3, even though only one was burned out. I figured if one burned out, the other 2 probably are not far behind. Problem was, I had to take a guess at how many bulbs there are on the control panel. The Service Manual doesn't say how many it takes and niether does the computer at the Parts Department at the Dodge dealer. So I ordered 6 bulbs but only needed 3. But maybe it is the same bulb for the instrument cluster or some other light in the truck, and if so I will have the bulbs if I need them.
I hope this helps someone out if they have this same bulb problem.

Hey Jimmy, I've had my dash apart for weeks... On the gauge cluster takes 2 DIFFERENT bulbs, PC-194(7x)(Turn signals and gauges) and PC-74(1x)(HiBeam), just for future info for anyone, I just swapped those to led from Superbrightleds.com
