This is more of a question than a statement: Could a dirty throttle body be keeping the blade from always closing all of the way?

This is where my truck idles right now. I think it is a little higher than it used to be. I'm pretty sure it idled right at 500rpm, but now when I first start it up it's around 900 and then drops to a little below that.

I'm certainly no expert, but it does seem that the cpu is acting hinky. It works when you reset it, but only for a day.

I had the same issue on my 2001 Dakota at 75,000 miles. My mechanic replaced the "throttle position sensor" and fix my problem. Not sure what it looks like and what it is, but solved my up/down rpm and launching forward sometimes on me.... Not sure if this is your solution, but give it a try.

Yeah it has been replaced. I will try to take some video with my camera of the way it is acting and post it somewhere for everyone to see.

well i thought the computer needs like 6 starts before it fully leans a/f ratios, etc. so thats why it may seem high the second day after you reset it. when i reset my computer last it idled like crap for about 10 minutes.
