how do you tell the differnce between the 4.7 V8 and the 5.2 V8? visually in the engine compartment.

the tb on the 4.7 is facing the front, the 5.2 is pointing up.

 

no coil or spark plug wires on a 4.7 they have coil packs

 

You Google the two and decide which one yours looks like.

 

The coil packs instead of spark plug wires and distributor are the biggest give away. Only the 3.7 and the 4.7 came with the coil packs (I'm not even going to mention the 4 cyl).

The throttle body was a real good obvious suggestion. Go team! lol
