I have a 2004 Dakota with the 4.7 and it's an SLT. Where can I find out the towing capacity. The manual is not much help. I want to see if it would be alright to pull a '96 Camry on a dolly. Thanks in advance!

 

yes, not sure how what it is exactly something like 7000 towint capactiy. but the camry is probably not even over 2500lbs.

 

I think the camry is like 3000lbs but I could be wrong.

 

Yeah your alright my bro in law hauled a 5,000lb camper with his 4.7

 

If it is just a brief in town move, it's not a huge deal if you go a little over.

 

It's a 12 hour trip. Mostly highway though.

 

It pulled it better then I expected. Got 19mpg on the way down with an empty dolly and a canoe in the bed. Got about 11mpg on the way back with the camry and a kayak. Took 6 hrs on the way down and 8hrs on the way home. 624 miles round trip.
