Well it is a circular terminal which means the bolt would have had to come completely out for it to disconnect like that. Thus not leaving any loose bolts in its wake. Unless I'm looking at it all wrong (which is possible)?

Thus why i'm wondering, because if it came out, then something must be loose....OR some dimwit at the transmission shop forgot to reconnect it for whatever reason (see: the dangling wires)

I have the feeling that the shop is tired of seeing me, so whenever I come in, they just slop it together. When i had it taken in for the exploded drum, I checked in daily (last october). Then last month, the convertor cracked open, so i took it back in, and stopped by twice a day- on my way to work, on my way home. Amazing how much quicker a shop will work when you're harboring them.

Since you've had the trans out a couple times it makes me think it must go to that. Especially if you never noticed it before then. Or at least it was something that was in the way when taking out the trans and had to be unplugged. But I can't think of what else it could go to. You don't have a t-case right? Your 2wd? There isn't really anything else under there it could go to. Especially 2 wires... I guess I would have to look under my truck and see what else it could go to.

thats what i thought...but alas, no open connections. Like i said, they have caps on them to keep dirt out, which tells me that they really were't designed to go to anything...maybe?

Its prob how dodge does everything else like even tho you dont have power mirrors the wiring is already there for them so Im guessing its prob ment to go to the transfer case if you had one only thing is why would it need so many wires well I guess in your case your truck would of had the 4x4 **** not the shifter like in my truck so might require more wires. Follow them and see where they go to.

I'm wondering if I have these on my truck. I'll have to take a peek.

I have them on my truck, there is a hole in the trans X-member that the loom is supposed to hook into with a "christmas tree". As to their purpose, I have no idea. The round ground wire connects to the stud holding the power steering pump and the brace for the upper water hose. My truck is now a 5.9, but the harness (ground strap) is the same.
