Default Need shocks...04 QC with plow

Can you guys recommend a set of heavy duty shocks for my 04 4WD 4.7L quad cab. I need something heavy duty if possible as I plow with it over the winter. Don't mind a stiff ride. I ordered a set of timbrens, cranked the torsion bar up one turn and now want to replace the shocks. Let me know where to get them too. Thanks.

I'm not sure what is the most HD for your year but typically they will advertise the most HD. The higher priced ones would be a good start. If you see anything for towing that would be a good one. I would suggest checking out www.autozone.com or www.napaonline.com or www.oreillyauto.com where ever is closer to you.

By the way that is cool you got a plow setup. Is that factory or aftermarket?

Yeah, its not surprising cuz of the front end issues, but it handles it real well.

Are the ranchos or the reflexes more HD then the other?

You can do the rancho adjustable shocks so you can have 1 setting when plowing then in the off months you can have it on a different setting only draw back is 86.00. The reflex will be a stiffer ride compared to stock so either one will work out. Oh and its around 40.00 cheaper than the rancho rs9000

I have a few question about your plow set up. I found a used sno way for sale but it is a little distance from me so I would like your input before I drive out there to see it. I see it has hydraulic pistons for the tilting of the plow but do no see anything to lift the plow. How is the plow lifted off the ground? Does the front end squat alot under the weight of the plow? How quickly and easily does the plow mount and unmount? With out the plow on does the plow frame stick out and does the lower bumper need to be trimmer for the mount? Thanks
