Default CAI Question..

Can a CAI still Be ran in the winter time Or would you advise to put stock airbox back on.?

is that true?? I know its a *COLD air intake* but -40 cold? LOL..

lol^, i dont really know, but i don see how it would do any harm. the engine will be warm so the intake will take up most of that warm air anyways.....

I'm not quite sure either but i'd like to know before It gets real nasty up here.. it can go down to -40c to -50c...

the cai isnt really letting in that much cooler air (just more of it) vs the stock box unless your cai is a true ram air. so i say its should be fine.

What you need to consider is sludge/icey crappiness getting into the intake. As long as it is a style/model that isn't in a position to get hit with ice/sludge/crap, you'll be fine.

Rants is right as long as your air filter is near where the stock one used to be it will be ok.

agreed. but you could get a pre-filter if your roads are real bad or you offroad alot. basically a sock you stick over the filter, k&N and spectre make them.
