well, when it says billing info received it means that ups dose not have the package in their possession. no updates were given on the location. it should have shipped the 29th and been here by the 6th. its from michigan to kansas not that far. ebay says to wait untill the 10th then i can file a claim. so i wont do anything untill then.

Here's an idea I'm checking out - leave the front driveshaft out from about March to November (or whenever winter takes hold in your area). Improved gas mileage, less wear/tear... I'm checking the gas mileage though - tradeoff might not be worth it, especially if you like having 4x4 available. I just had the joints replaced in mine by a transmission shop (Rye Valley Gear in SW VA) and haven't re-installed it yet. Obviously this won't be a good option if you like to 4-wheel... But if you know when you'll be using 4x4 (or feel confident about taking your chances) then this might be a good option... I use my 4x4 about once a year for firewood and a couple times in the winter when the roads get messy so I'm thinking I'm going to leave mine out next summer and see how much my mileage improves. Very efficient right now - I'm sitting in Afghanistan and my truck's sitting in the driveway. Of course I have that 4bt in the garage to improve the mileage also... But who knows when I'll get around to installing that.
Good luck on getting your part though! Hopefully it's just a UPS screwup.

I have a similar noise coming from my front end.
I just checked the Axles, and didn't notice any play or wear in the CV-Boots.
I'm gonna check my drive shaft, hopefully that is not it... but if it is, does anyone know if the Drive shaft from other Engines will work? I have a 4.7 V8 4x4, and my local junkyard has none there... just 5.2's and 3.9's that i've seen.
