mine is right between where the alt and AC pump

should be two 9/16 bolts holding it on.
there is also a heater hose next to it but it is not attached to the t-stat housing

Be careful when you take it off that nothing falls into the hole.
before you take it off. you should drain some coolant from the radiator.
there is a drain valve on the right side of the radiator next to the bottom.
catch as much coolant as you can for recycling. anti-freeze is poison.

@ tattoodbrute

UPDATE:

OK
outside temp 50 F
speed 55mph
windows down
temp set all the way to right, on hot, vents set to feet, fan on 2
FEET SWEATING

the FIX

flushed heater core both ways with water and air.
THEN...
poured straight white vinegar and let it sit for 1 hr.
flushed both ways for about 3-4 minutes with water then air.
THEN....
poured core full of CLR. bottle said not to use an brass or aluminum so use at your own risk.
let it sit for about 5 minutes and flushed it out with water
THEN...
took rest of CLR and mixed it with about 1 gal of water and let it set for about 5 minutes and flushed it with water and then air. then repeated it and flushed other direction with water and air. the repeat until all water and CLR mixture is gone.
THEN..
final flush with water for 10 minutes both ways.
reconnect hoses, top off anti-freeze.
THEN.......
HEAT

hope this helps.
