One of the wires on my multiswitch has come loose or broken at the connector. I'm trying to take the covers off my steering column but the lever that controls the tilt steering needs to come off. How do I get this lever off? 2000 dakota 3.9l V-6 4X4

 

I think it should just unscrew off the tilt mechanism. Try grabbing the end of the tilt handle and turning it towards the instrument cluster.
