You all are probably wondering why this thread is titled the way it is but I have a good reason!

I went for a parts run for the last two days and got my hood back, a new cherry picker, my old engine stand......oh and a complete 360!!!

My real question is that im doing an engine swap from the 2.5L to the monster 5.9L and I have questions on how to splice the the wiring harnesses together and also any little question I may have

a complete motor meens it came with a computer and the wiring harness......i was just wondering if i could use the factory harness for my 2001 dakota to run everything on the truck(lights, horn, wipers, etc) and then splice in the 5.9 wiring that i got to run just the motor

i also have two fuse boxes(original and 5.9)

all im looking for trasnmission wise is from a 5.2L 5 speed....theres no way in hell im going back to an auto

pictures: sorry for the bad quality...it was night time and i had a long day so it was a lil shaky

You should be able to pull the heads without readjusting the valves.

I beleive that you will have to remove the rocker arms and push rods, or you will have a heck of a job putting the heads on, trying not to bend the pushrods when putting heads on. Might look at them when they come off, maybe need a few new ones.

Replace the 4 cyl PCM with the 360 PCM, and replace the under-hood wiring with the 360 harness.

pretty much the only thing im keeping from the original motor and trans is the fuse block....even though im going to have to moddify it
