Default 2000 4.7L v8 4x4 Sport tires

2000 4.7L v8 4x4 Sport

Hi i have been looking all over for some answers on getting new tires with not much luck. First of all will 33s fit on the stock rims without rubbing? Some people say they dont but i know that the v8 sport 4x4 dakotas are a little taller than other stock dakotas. If they wouldnt fit could i get some offset rims to help them fit? or would a body lift be needed?
p.s. (tires with a width of 11.5, maybe 12.5 is what im looking for)

Thanks alot for your help!

The tires on my Dakota Sport rub the Fender linings up front.
I bought the truck this way... other than Rancho RS5000 shocks I am stock...
the tires are 265/70/R16 I think... which translates to a 31 ish inch tire.

33s won't fit unless you crank the tb's 2 inches or get a 3 inch body lift. Even then it's snug, but will fit.

check through the recent post maybe a few pages back i have a post on my tires I just got on. I have a sport I just put 32x11.50's on with a 1" torsion bar lift in the front and they fit pretty good they only rub if i'm turning and hit a decent size bump or when I back up pretty much everytime unless im going 1 mph. other than that I would say go with them. My friend and I tried trimming the fenders but it didnt' help so I'm just saying screw it its not hurting the tires so it will eventually wear down the fender so it doesnt rub as much. good luck

I would say with stock back spacing it will rub, as mine rubbed with my rims(unsure of back space) when I had 33's. Now they rub alot with my 35's. but they wore through the front bumper so no rub there just on a full lock out turn.
