Fog lights
I'll get some pics up on here tomorrow or Saturday I guess. It was a little late when I got done tonight and I didn't feel like messing around with the camera and hosting pics on Image Shack tonight.
I have seen a few trucks around here with white-blue looking lights but I could tell they were not the aftermarket HID's, I wonder if they are running the Hella H5 blue tint lights? Some people online say they are not good, others say they are great. I guess I could try them and return them if they don't work out. There are a lot of discount codes out there for AAP, there's one for $20.00 off a $50.00 purchase, so if I get the bulbs and something cheap like an oil filter or something else that I will use anyway, I can maybe get the lights for about $35.00. Not bad considering I paid $19.00 for my crappy yellow Xtra Visions at Walmart.
I'm gonna check out the Hella's online and maybe try a set this weekend.

Update..I put in a set of the Hella Xenon Blue headlights today. The lights and a roll of $1.69 electrical tape cost me $33.00 with tax included with the AAP discount code. I had to throw in the tape roll to get the price over $50.00 so the $20.00 off a $50.00 purchase discount would work..
I can't really tell much of a difference on the headlights in the daylight, even in the garage with the garage lights off. They do look to be somewhat brighter than the Xtravisions though. I will take a test drive tonight after it gets dark.
Here's a few pics of my AAP Baja Tough driving lights on my truck:

Lit up in the garage:

In the driveway, lights off:

I hope these new headlights are better than my old ones. The Xtravisions had a real yellow tint to them and it just looked wierd with the new blue tinted driving lights.
Thanks.

I just got back from my test drive. The Hella's are definitely a whiter light, they seem to be a bit brighter than the Xtravisions were and they shine a little further down the road. They seem to be right about the same as the old Silverstar Ultra's I had a couple of years ago.
The Hella's did very well with the driving lights on too. With the driving lights and headlights on it's nice and bright and I can see in front of my truck a lot better and I can see a bit further than I did with the yellowish Xtravisions without any driving lights.
With this setup I can also see off to the sides of the road a lot better, which is very important here where it is just plain pitch black dark on some streets at night. No one flashed their lights at me so I don't think my lights are bright enough to blind anyone, and that's a good thing.
For the $60.00 total I spent on these lights, this light combination is plenty good enough for me, and to my eyes it's much better than what I had before.

haha my thoughts too lol where I'm from its all country back roads but thats good to know about those hella's. I've been thinking about getting new headlights soon since my silverstar ultras are about 3 or 4 years old so maybe I'll try those. I also need to get my driver side fog fixed so it works haha. good thread!
