Default Fog lights

I need a set of clear 4" round fog lights for my truck. I went to Kmart, Walmart, and all the parts stores around here in this little hick town where I live in Florida, all I can find is the rice-burner looking blue tinted fog lights. I did find one set that was clear but had a colored ring around the outside of the light...that one is definitely not what I need.

Has anyone found a good quality clear lens fog light online or anywhere else? I don't want to spend more than $60.00 for the pair.

Thanks.

Jimmy

i got a set of 3.5" ones from walmart for 20 bucks the one stopped working but they at least look better than the water filled stockers I had on. Only thing is it will probably be a pita to mount unless you have access to a welder. heres a pic the .5" doesn't make a huge difference if you get them centered and is better than paying 60 a side for stock ones

you can just make drill into the frame and have a little tab a few inches long where you can mount the light, i can take photos of how mine are set up if you want.

Thanks for the help. I think I will just order the factory replacement type from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ima...1&s=automotive

I had a set of those before I had a wreck back in March. The body shop lied to me and said the at-fault driver's insurance would not cover replacing my fog lights.

These lights did OK and were about as bright as factory fog lights. They were not the easiest things to install but now that I have done a set before maybe it won't be so bad.

Thanks.

4 Wheel Parts on Colonial, they stock the Pro Comp lights in three sizes and can have about any other light made (Hella, KC, LightForce, etc.) out of their local warehouse in a day.

I know the Pro Comps were on sale for around $20 a light not too long ago...

Well, I cheaped out on it and went for the cool-blue Hella knock-offs from Walmart anyway. $23.00 a pair. If they last me a year I guess I got my money's worth out of them. If I could, I would just say the heck with it and wouldn't be installing fog lights at all because I couldn't find the clear ones I really wanted, but I already cut the holes out for them. So this is a job I have to finish.

I think the blue lenses will be OK after I get used to them. They are down low in the bumper cover and how often do you look down there anyway? The blue color may kind of blend with the silver on my truck and after a while I won't notice them I guess. $60.00/pair lights are sort of out of the budget right now anyway.

Maybe I will save up for some real Hella's or Pro Comp lights later on next year. For now I'll try these Walmart Blue Light specials and see how they do. I am hoping these blue tint lights will be a bit brighter than the Pilots I had that were broken in the wreck back in March.

Thanks for all the help and info here.

Update...the Walmart lights were just about 3/16" too small and I didn't like the way they looked on my truck. They didn't quite fit the holes I had cut.

So, I bought a set of the Baja Tough cheap driving lights at Advance and installed them instead. For $29.95 they are very good lights. The blue tint is actually much brighter and the driving lights shine further than the headlights do. It's bright enough that I could literally turn off the headlights and use the driving lights to drive with if I had to.

The blue driving lights were so much better driving around on my test drive tonight I think I will try a set of the Hella Blue 9007 bulbs for my headlights now. They cost $50.00 a pair at Advance but they might be worth it. Around here at night it's really dark, and unless you know where you are going it's really hard to see anything. They don't have near enough street lights here. I guess the county and/or the town can't afford it.

I think the blue lenses look OK on my truck. I'll get used to them, and as good as these lights work, I will definitely overlook the blue lenses.
