Hello, I own a 2001 Dodge Dakota, and I noticed the oil pan and gas tank is not really thick, and not that protected, and I want to offroad alot, but don't want to put a hole in anything, I was wondering if they made any metal plates that fit around the tank, or maybe like a skid plate that would cover and protect like most of the undercarrage of my truck and motor area?

go to a junk yard and find a dakota. some of them came with skid plates.

 

Here are my threads on my skid plates. I found some at a junkyard. They installed directly to factory holes ect, just when you remove them keep all the bolts and the nut inserts. The 2nd Generations skid plates are the same as 1st Generations. The first 2 posts are mine with tons of pictures. The last one is another members post on it.

My truck came with the skid plate package and boy its so good that it did lol
