You missed the IAC valve. It controls the idle of the truck and can become clogged with carbon build up. Will it stay started if you keep your foot on the gas and keep it at 750rpm?

And by the way if you have the money id also replace the MAP sensor while your at it. It can help fuel mileage and I believe it may help with the idle as well.

Default Will not idle

Have same symtons as ph98223 but on 2000 Dakota 3.9L. Will start, but will not maintain idle (stops) when cold. Will run if foot is kept on gas peddle. Would changing Idle Air Control motor cure my problem on the 3.9L? Battery was changed last month, same problem when cold outside.

I had this exact same problem not too long ago. After checking my TPS and MAP sensor and replacing my IAC, I found out that it was actually the battery that was causing the issue. I popped in a new battery and I haven't had a problem since. If I were you, I'd go to Advance or somewhere like that and get the battery checked before you go shelling money out on sensors.

I will go have the battery tested. But for some unkown reason it has started to run fine now with only changing the tps. IDK it is a mystery to me.
