I had a 3.8l firebird with duals and shorty headers that sounded great but that has a completely different muffler layout. I have a feeling that duals sound so bad on our trucks because they reduce the back pressure too much and that results in a ricey sound. You could always rig up fake dual tips if its just the look you wand and dump a single outlet just after the rear axle.
Ill try to get a vid of my neighbors exhuast on his v6 dak I guess he thinks it sounds good cause he goes past my house and hammers on the throttle. I guess he does it cause I do it to him since I only have a cat on.
True, true. Well thanks for all the idea. I'll tell my friend about all this and have her decide since she shows her Monte. She's the one moding my truck for me and I decide what I really want. But thanks!
i say get some the tri y headers it outflows the stock manifold and but a single out with an aftermarket muffler itll have a good sound, people will be able to tell for sure it isn't stock. and with a nice chrome tip as well!
