So its not that solenoid. I replaced that this afternoon and the ticking was still there. Its also not a O2 sensor because I checked those. I'm at a loss guys; I have no idea.
that whole thing there is what it was for me put your hand on it and see if you can feel it ticking because you probably wont be able hear it with the motor on. i was tryin to point and take the pic with my phone at the same time so im not pointing to the exact thing in the pic.
Are you sure the 'tick' is not an injector or injectors? I have a 'lope' at low speed, but the one thing i have not done yet is clean my injectors and they 'tick' very loudly..
i have the same EXACT problem with my 99 dakota sport. It gets pretty loud after awhile. only isolated to the pedal just behind the dash. i have a bad O2 sensor though also.
My 97 does it as well. Im 99% sure mines from an exhaust leak tho. my headers flanges that connect to the y-pipe are corroded and rust as hell. need to replace the headers and y-pipe....
