So if anyone has experience with guyherepayhere places, you think i can haggle the 80 down to maybe 55-60? idk im going to try, if not theres a 2000 dak 5.9 qc 4x4 with only 78000 miles for same price about an hour away. The dealer specializes in no/bad credit. Im 21 and have none. I did get approved through one credit union...you think if i got approved for one place that another will approve too? any input would be great lol. Its 130 am and all i can think about are these two trucks..haha
Not sure about you. But I'm an authorized user on both of my parents CC's, and have 14,000 and counting worth of student loans. When we moved to DFW last june, the Credit Union we bank at said that I was already approved for any loan up to 3500 (basically matching my semesteral Stu Loans). I would say, if a credit union approved you, you're in good shape- since they're not a bank, per se, they are probably more apt to work with you, especially as a student. You might see if the CU will cover the cost of the truck, so that you owe the CU, not the "here today, gone tomorrow" dealer guy. I'm not a financial expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if the dealer guy won't take a student-level-income-payment, see if you can strike a deal with the credit union. Since they approved you already, a deal might be easier to strike. Just an FYI, usually the places that specialize in low/no credit, succeed using a VERY high interest rate (plus the vehicle as collateral, of course), to pull their profit.

I bought my 04 with 60K on it for 8K and $194 a month. Honestly that price is high for that mileage.

If you have trans issues the only real way to fix it is to have it rebuilt. If the fluid looks nasty like said, cahnge fluid and filter. If the fluid hasnt been changed ever(this happnes). You can end up doing more damage to the trans by shocking it with a new filter and fluid.

The truck isnt all time AWD. Do not use the 4X4 unless you are on gravel or slick surfaces. Doing otherwise you will damage the 4X4. You should check this as well to make the 4X4 works.
To do that put the vehicle in Nueltral, select the 4X4. drive the vehicle slowly, and turn, or stop and back up while turning. The steering will be tight, this means the 4X4 is working.

Some dakotas did in fact come in AWD. Why? I'm not real sure, but they did. I can't really see the point in having a truck be AWD. You will get terrible gas milage (especially with a 5.9 QC). And how often do you use 4wd? It's most likely less than one percent of the time. So I'm not real sure why you need AWD when you can just use 4wd when you need it.

wellll just bought the truck yesterday!!! im so in love with it lol. Yeah, this truck is full time awd, and i like it that way for some reason...went through a whole tank of gas yesterday just driving it around, and surprisingly got 14.4 mpg, which i dont think is THAT bad for the big 5.9 and awd..

What a steal. Anything over 13 is great for an awd/5.9/quad cab! Looks like it's has the torsion bars cranked, as well, and I like the fender flares. Makes me wish mine was blue on chrome in front, now.
