could be another bad cj. you should have went with ujoints on the driveshaft.

edit: does this post appear at the top? whenever i post something its somehow moved to the top. wtf.

Default need help

my 99 dakota is making a popping and grinding sound i changed out the cv shaft but its still doing it and for some reason it wont even shift out of 2 wheel drive i let it roll backwards on my drive way and it feels like something is grabbing if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

any other cj? and would the u joints make it to where it wouldnt shift into 4x4 i also noticed if i moved it to where it wasnt hanging up the 4x4 would engage i have no idea
