I totally agree with the whole rear only ABS thing, that's just stupid I thought the whole point of ABS was so you can steer and maintain control of your vehicle during emergency breaking. I didn't know the Dakotas had rear only ABS I thought mine was broken lol, I might go unhook mine too. Do you just pull the fuse out for it ?
thats all i did, but apparently it will turn the dash lamp on. I suppose for we micheivious ones, we could just re-run the rear brakeline and bypass the ABS module altogether, but that would probably make the cmomputer throw fits from lack of brake pressure on the switch. That's why I asked if ABS/speed sensor were 2 physically different sensors or not, or if the ABS lamp could just get unplugged/removed.

Or, Dodge could have spent the extra $150 or so to make 4 wheel ABS standard. It may be a crutch for the driver, but who is going to argue that you can't really react fast enough to start pumping?

I was thinking, you could unhook the ABS light from the dash but if you ever had to resell or go in a accident, bad things could happen. Other option is kinda getto but works, black electricians tape over the light on the dash cover.

Pulled ABS fuse, also turned my parking lamp on.

I already got everything fixed that's fixable. Here's what's left.

Yeah forgot about that but you can always pull the bulbs. Other than that did it have any effect on anything else?

Totally agree. Why in the hell would you go through putting ABS on a truck and only put it in the rear. LOL

Yeah I suppose that it could be a crutch but the whole reasoning behind ABS is for the fact that you can't always react fast enough to start pumping the breaks, and a computer can I'm just glad every thing turn out alright.
