If your ABS System wasnt workinbg properly you would get a ABS light. It sounds like you should check your brake pads, and bleed the brakes. Or not getting enough vacuum from the brake booster. The brake booster can also be a cause.

 

i know with my truck when im in snow if i just tap the brakes my abs goes on...personally i like it. my last truck i had didnt have it, and getting into this one was like whoa wtf.. but u just gota get used to it. Stomp and steer baby
