Question Any pointers on replacing Fog-lights?

I hit a deer doing about 50 at night.
Lucky it had bent downward when I hit it.
There was one in the fast lane, one in the slow lane.
I had no where to go in the short time that I came up
on them. (No street lights, on a back country road).
When I swa them, I was hard on the brakes and in a full skid.
Didn't matter, I knew I was gonna smack it head on.
As i said, The deer had bent down twards the road so when I
hit it took out my lower gray plastic piece below the steel bumper,
the fog lights, and the A/C condensor. How it missed the grill is a
wonder. But I ended up stopped on top of the deer and had to use
4 wheel drive to back off the thing! At first I tried just reverse but
the tuck just spun the ties in the back. Anyways,. After the insurance
replaced everything only ONE fog lamp got replaced. And, the one not
touched by the deer (The old one) is way fogged up on the inside of the lense
So i have a replacement but no idea how to get to it to replace it. Any help
would go a long way! Thanks,.. '99 SLT 4x4 5.2 ext. cab.

Its the same as my truck and all its just two bolts that holds it on. You can take your bumper off to replace it but you dont need to but it is only 4 bolts so its not a big deal to take off.

I find that interesting, because when I took my front bumper off...I absolutely could not take any bolts or whatever off the darn plastic. The plastic was actually starting to rip at the holes when I tried loosening everything.

i hope you didn't already take your whole bumper off. all i do is take the turn signals out, 1 screw for each side and they pop out. its tight but with the hood open you can get to the 2 screws that screw down into the fog housing. then turn them 90* and you can pull them out from the bottom of the truck. i have the 2000- 2 piece bumper it should be the same.

In order for me to get the turn signals out my whole headlight assy has to come out and in order to get the bottom bolt out to get at the headlight you have to pull the bumper.

really? on mine after you take the one screw out the turn signal and the corner piece pop out. they slide into a plastic track so you gotta pull kinda hard. way easier then messing with the whole bumper and its easier to get to the headlights. i've taking mine off a bunch of times im not lying lol.
