Can you replace the light around the key ignition???

Question Can you replace the light around the key ignition???

The light the goes around the ignition is burned out it never worked since i got it. How or can you replace the ligth to get it to work?

It seems there is a common problem with these circuits. I was not getting any voltage reading from the wires after I replaced the bulb, so I rewired it. The steering wheel covers come off. There are 3 torx screws on the bottom, and you pop the bottom cover off, unscrew the tilt wheel lever off by hand, and remove the top. Twist the bulb holder out of the socket (Twist so the top moves toward the dash).

I don't think they were ever wired. The FSM says it works of the CTM and stays on for 30 seconds. I can't find it in the wiring diagrams,

The ring is only supposed to work when the door is open its not supposed to work off the headlights

I can detest to that. My friend's '00 R/T has his light working while driving with the headlights on. I was in the passenger seat the entire time, so I saw it. I believe my brother's '97 was working as well when he had it. Besides...I tried many different ways to try and see if the light lit up, and nothing.

I forgot you have the new style so it prob is different I have the old style and it doesnt work with the headlights.
