Question Changed tire size, should it make it ride so rough?

Changed my tires from 235/75R15's to 31x10.50R15's. The build sheet states that was what was on it originally. Since changing tires, I have noticed that it is riding noticeably rougher. I know it's a truck not a car, but I shouldn't be bounced around every time the freeway gets a little bumpy. Do I need to get a front and/or rear alignment? New shocks/struts (bounce test seems to be good)? Nothing and just deal with it? Be nice, this is my first truck ok? Oh, it has 103k miles on it.

id say have the alignment checked and make sure the wheels are weighted properly, your tread pattern and wall stiffness will also determine the quality of ur ride

OK. Previous tires were Arizonian Silver 235/75R15 with a 108S rating. New tires are Uniroyal Liberator AT 31x10.50R15 with a 109Q rating. I know, they're not the greatest tires in the world but I could afford them and get them same day.

Worked beautifully! Fresh oil change, full tank of gas with stabilizer and disconnected battery. Also removed a few vital fuses and relays so no one could just take it. Put the fuses and relays back, reconnected the battery and it started on the first try and so far, so good! Thank you for all the help!!

Are the tires at the proper pressure? Alot of places put the max amount of air into a tire that the sidewall says too, instead of the air pressure that should be in them. To much air pressure will make for a rough ride as well.

That is a good question, the air pressure. How do you determine what is correct? The tire itself or some other recommendation that I'm not aware of?

There should be a sticker inside the door jam that tells you the recommended tire pressure front and rear. I would check that first, if that does not cure it then an alignment and re check of the tire balance would be what I would look at next.

Sticker states 35 front, 41 rear. That's for 235/75R15. So since these are 31's, should there be any adjustment for the larger tire?

I usually run 33-35 in my tires a little less in the back since there is no weight usually 35 front 33 back and the rough ride could be from the new tires having stiffer side walls both because they are new and they could be rated stiffer plus they weigh a little more so they could cause it to ride more rough as well
