Default Yellowish Sludge inside Oil Fill Cap. WTF?

I opened my oil fill cap today and noticed there is a good amount of this yellowish sludge in there. It looks like it is mixed with some moisture. The cap seemed to be on tight. I regularly check my oil on the dip stick and the oil hasn't and doesn't look suspect at all. I dont know what this is from and I'm not liking it.

It's normal if you don't do a lot of highway driving, and if the truck makes a lot of "short" trips, not long enough for the engine to fully warm up. I see it alot on vehicles I work on at the shop.

Yeah I saw the other thread after I posted this one. Thanks for the feedback. That really scared me. My commute to work is only about 15 mins so I guess that has something to do with it. BTW, i'm assuming you clean it out before putting new oil in. What do you usually do, just wipe it out with a rag?

I drive nothing but long distance and I still get it in the winter. I just changed my oil last night and noticed it.
