Default Question about exhaust

I have an '03 Dakota 4.7 with single in dual out Twister pipes. The sound is amazing through the whole power band. I was wanting to add a little more power and sound by installing some gibson ceramic coated headers, then either running H pipes or X pipes. I was wondering which exhaust system would make it a little louder without loosing sound quality and also which would give me more power? Also, what is a good high flow cat i can install that will help out the sound and keep back pressure?

high flow cat you must by a spintch. best thing out there. i absolutely love mine. as for headers dont bother. unless you are boosting it wont add much of anything. and intake and larger throttle body would be much better money spent.

I have the new 77 series K&N intake. Adding the headers gives it an extra 15 HP and it keeps the engine running much cooler, and depending on H pipes or X pipes also depends on how much more i'll get. I know the X pipes gave my buddy's mustang an extra 20 HP compared to the H pipes, but i don't know anything about truck exhaust.

ask blown287 on his thoughts on headers for a pretty much stock 4.7. dont waste ur money on them unless ur running boost.
