my 99 dakota is throwing a 1391 code ,i changed crank and hall effect sensers and still throwing same code,it ran ok for a couple weeks and now it has no power.even in nuetral it wont rev past 3000,its a 3.9 ,i changed cap,rotor and plugs.any suggestions?

 

by hall effect you mean cam sensor right? not sure if its the same on the 5.2 but I changed those 2 (crankshaft and camshaft position sensor) on my 4.7 and it fixed the not going past 2800 problem and codes I was getting. just making sure thats what you meant by hall effect

 

The sensor in the distributor is a hall effect sensor.

 

yes the cam senser,i was able to rev it up and had lots of power untill 2 days ago,i changed those sensers 2 weeks ago

 

i was told at the dealer the cat could be plugged
