Imo If I wanted a V8 then I would have gotten a V8. I like messing with 4 bangers it gives a greater feel of success when you get gains.

Or if you got a v8 with no mods you get a great feel of success when you put that pedal to the floor . I just think they really isnt much sense dumping a 500-1k into it just to gain a few hp. Yes the 4cyl are a great motor get good mpg and gets you from a to b but other than that they are gutless on a truck. Not bashing you or the truck im just saying there are better/smarter ways to spend your money then on a 4cyl. Just to compare the 4cyl makes about 50 hp more than my atv.
