Default Tire Size Question..

So I have a question..

I have the stock 15" rims on my 97 Dak..

What I want to know.. what is the proper Tire* size I can put on the 15" rim to equal the same height as the following size: 235 75 16.. & 265 70 16

try this...235 is a 30x9.50 and 265 is a 31x10.43 so either a 30x9.50r15 or 31x10.5r15 would be the sizes for a 15 inch rim

Ok.. thats a great link!

So if i want the tire to be taller then i would need to go to a 215/235 80 15 but they do not make those sizes.. so i guess thats that..

I will have to use 235 I'm not liking the way the 215's look.. 235 seems a little bit more aggressive.

Any opinions on this tire

Vs. the BFG T/O & Good Year Silent Armor?

Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61 seem to have some good reviews on TireRack. I may consider them when I purchase my next set of tires.

Well that's good advise.. I will look into it.. I used to run Wranglers on my Jeep.. but they have changed since then.. and their silent armor more inline with what I had carry a heavy tag.. just like BFG's

Thinking about a cheaper tire that will do the same thing.. ? IDK>. Thanks ill keep reading the mixed reviews on line.

the pathfinders are good they are made by goodyear but the problem is they are being discontinued, so if you blew one out you would have a hard time tracking down a new one in a few months/years.

i would run these if i were you
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tir...&typ=Truck/SUV

they come in a 235/75-15, 30x9.50x15, and 31x10.50x15. i have these on my 02 QC 4.7 they are outstanding. no road noise and traction is awesome. 6k miles on them and they look brand new. trust me i work at discount tire these things are awesome we have a hard time keeping them in stock they sell so much

I got bfg a/t's from discounttiredirect.com and they gave me a good deal on 32x1150x15 bfgs got them shipped to my house for 610! Only problem I have with cheaper tires is well they are cheap lol I would rather spend the extra money and know what you are getting.

Indeed true.. like buying those SA4's or that other el-cheapo... ROFL!

I do not really drive my truck anywhere.. being I work from home.. so I'm really not worried about the lifespan.. more so in the traction in mud/dirt/rock..
