Default 01 Dakota Smoking on start up

After my Dakota sits for a while after usage, it spews out blue smoke on start up. It is a 4.7 with 155,000 miles. I suspect oil is going past the valve guides. Is it possible to replace the valve guide seals and is this a big job? Thanks

Yes, you can just replace the valve guide seals, not to hard of a job, just gotta remember that if you leave the heads on, to not let the valves drop into the cylinder or the head has to come off. If your not to sure about doing the job yourself, or if you dont have the proper tools, take it to a shop, the job isnt that expensive.
