Default had a problem with my superchips

i had installed a superchips programmer on my 04 and if i do a custom tune and change anything it fries the ecm its done it twice i tryed updating it threw the website superchips verifyed the programmer was the right one and said it should be fine and it fried it again so on the new ecm (third one) i just did quick tune and no issues untill the programmer was stolen out of my truck and when i get home need to have the ecm redone to set it back to stock settings but dont know what programmer i want to run now if there is any others that may be better

Have you contacted SC about the issue? Normally if they fry your PCM/ECM, they will repair it. Most people that have issues just send them the module and get it back within a few days.

I would be pissed if I were you then. I have read a few cases where they have fried PCMs and they normally work with the person to solve the issue. Blown287 in the 3rd gen section had this problem when he tried to stack tuners, and there was a more recent person who had a no start condition after they installed tuning.

You might want to try dropping in on superchips.com and signing up for their forum. Post up your issue, and hopefully scott@superchips will chime in. Sometimes the guy can be a real tool, but he does help for the most part. He should be able to get you a ticket number and everything. These tuners should not fry PCMs.

Did you just buy this new or did you get it used from somewhere?
