Default weird things going on with 04 Daktoa

With the wisdom floating around here I hope someone can help me out.
i jumped into my truck this morning after getting off of work and i notice that my speedometer wasn't working as i was going down the road. All my other gages were working fine. but i also noticed that my ABS light was on plus my Airbag light was also on. Even had that little engine shaped light on.
That's not the worst of it now my truck is shutting off sometimes when I slow down for a red light. This has all happened in the course of one day. it's driving me nuts trying to think what it could be. Plus could this all related to one issue? i never had any real problems that i didn't take care of my self with this vehicle. I don't want to replace parts I may not need .
I had a Grand Am several years ago that developed a miss under power so I took it to a dealer to have them work on it. First they said it was a bad computer chip. which it wasn't. Then they said it was a bad computer...wrong again..900 dollars later I took it to another mechanic and it turned out to be a 50 dollar spark plug tower....live and learn..
I don't want to go through with that kind of thing with with my truck.
Here's a little info about it..its an 04 with 98,000 mile on it and has a 4.7 under the hood . Oh and anther thing my AC won't turn on now. I hope you guys can help me out.

may not help, but several years ago i had a dodge van and the first thing that i had a problem with was the speedometer (it quit) and then everything else started acting up. anyway, it turned out to be the computer. i disconnected the battery to possibly reset it and it worked. take note that this worked for about one day before it did the same thing again. had to replace the computer. like i say, this may or may not work.
