i have a 2000 dakota quad cab and on the overhead display the tempature dont work or the one that tells you how many miles letf til the tanks empty were is the tempature sensor located im thinking the (till tanks empty)aint working because my fuel guage aint workin let me no wat you think thanks.

 

The temp sensor is next to the passenger side headlight on the radiator support. Pop the hood and you'll see it.

Like you thought, no fuel gauge = no distance to empty.
