Where do I recharge my A/C?

Hey guys,

I need to recharge my A/C. I have a 1999 Dakota 3.9.

Any ideas where the orifice is I need to inject the cannister into?

Also, should my car be running, or what?

On a '99 318 motor it's right on top of the compressor,..
As for the V-6?? I don't no.
I'm sure someone here will pop for the answer.
