rear axle fluid

In my '04 4x4, is the 9-1/4 rear with 3.55 ratio, and the trac-lock option.

My question is, do I still need the additive, if I use 75w-90 full synthetic?

i used royal purple and didnt use anything else.

No. If synthetic, you do not need the additive. The label on the bottle should verify this.
