Default Update for 3.7 V6

Just thought I would check in....

So far w/ my truck (2004 QC 3.7 V6) I have installed a CAI, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, put in autolite 3923's and took off the fan clutch.

All this together has definitely made a difference, I'm thinking I have gained probably 15-20 hp.

Are there any other small (read: cheap) mods that I am overlooking? Thanks.

You could try an find a underdrive pulley set, they are typically inexpensive and free up a tad bit more power. It would go nicely with the deleted clutch fan.

When you say "took off the clutch fan", did you put an e-fan on instead? Or are you just running with no fan? I might try this with my 3.7L

If you have the 3.7 you should have the mechanichal fan and the electric fan. I have both on my 03 with the 3.9.

Mine had e-fan and clutch fan from the factory, so I just took off the clutch fan. E-fan works fine.

Definately do what he is saying. I honestly think the taking off the fac clutch has done almsot as much as my intake and muffler combined. IT revs so much easier and faster and I can already tell I am gettign better mileage even though my foot is a little heavier.

PLUS it gets rid of the god awful whirring/ roaring noise the clutch fan makes. All I hear now is intake and exhaust, and it sounds good
