Default Recent purchase need help

ok- I found a 1998 dodge dakota 3.9L magnum for 2 grand.

The guy lowered it, put a 5 speed pro shortthrow shiftkit in it. custom rims.

He lowered it because he said the back end was flying out on him.

The truck is mad fast. He said it had headers on it- 3" straight pipes.

I have three questions.

1)If the oil pressure sways 10orso degrees either way from 40
~80 do i need to really worry about that atm? Am thinkin its just leaking from the seals.

2)on even the slightest bumps the thing is mad bumpy- all in the front end- but once it starts bouncin its like it wont stop- any ideas as to where i can start to look for issues? or what things i might be able to do to correct it?

Ill post the pics of it tomorrow when im at work

My rt is lowered about 3 inches front and back to and it also rides rough as hell, the slighest bump causes the rubber bump stops on the a arms to hit making it even worse so im actually thinkin about buyin stock springs to fix it, i really dont think theres anything you can do about it unless theres some way to add shocks to the front

Just raise the truck to stock height or find a different size shock to match the current height.

Mad fast and 3.9 should never be used together lol The front bouncing is prob just bad shocks. Personally I will never buy anything with low oil pressure mine is always half way between 40 and 80 no matter what.

id say its prob a 3" drop-

Naturally rough riding and lookin like you got hydrolics when you dont' have any are two different stories hehe....

yea its always between 40/80 just drops a bit and goes up a bit slightly on a long run...

And I don't know why ppl think 3.9L can't be fast- But this thing screams down the road. literally- i tack it 5+K in every gear- dont even use 5th-

but its at 70 in 3rd and purrs. id say right at 5seconds

Only problem is it bumps so bad i can't go fast cuz my head will bash thru the sunroof.

thx for responce ill check the front end- can't even feel it give when i sit on it so probably doesnt even have shocks anymore- or i can't see anything that would resemble a suspension.

Dude. Are you suggesting that the truck does 0-70 in 5 seconds? I think you need to invest in a stopwatch. There is no way in hell.
