Help wierd vibrating noise

Question Help wierd vibrating noise

I have a 2004 dakota and i have a wierd vibrating noise going on, its always starts at the shift points. The transmission doesnt shutter or have a hard time shifting at all,i thought it was the cats but i got them cuyt off and its still making the noise, any ideas?????? please help

Torque converter? Without a better explanation I really have no clue

It only makes the noise in drive, the noise sound like metal vibrating agianst metal, like a heat shield virating, it starts around 25mph and stops around 35 mph, i cant figure it out, it almost sounds likr the noise is going through the exhaust or it sounds like the driveshaft.

Does your truck have pre-cats? MAybe the ceramic crap they put in there is loose and jiggling around or something?

Yes, you have precats. Its a heat shield,or something loose. Nothing major most likely, but get under and tap or push on stuff.

Sounds like the.same prob I had with my old R/T. It was a heat shield. Easy fix.
