SCT- heavily modified engine
Superchips- barely modified engine

Just my .02, I'm going with superchips mainly for the speedo recalibration feature and to take advantage of a little extra hp. If I were building a supercharged beast that would be worthy of a dyno then I'd go sct no question.

can you just buy a sct tuner plug and play like superchips or do you have to pay for dyno and tune time?

That's what I figured, when I got an estimate for my mustang I think they said something like $600/650ish and this was a few years ago. is the sct really that much better on a mild bolt on dakota?

it cost me 265 for the canned tunes. you just send him your mods and he does his magic. s/c is more trans related, sct for motor.
