Help! P0751
Hi! I'm looking for some help. I got a friend that owns a 1998 Dak 5.2 l auto. He went to autozone to read a code and this is what the scanner said:
P0751 O/D Switch Pressed (Low) More Than 5 Minutes
Anyone have this problem before and knows how to fix it?
Any help will be appreciated!!!
Thanks

Thanks for the info guys! I told my friend that imo the easiest and cheapest way was to find a overdrive button and swap his out. I told him to go to a junk yard and find one or i told him where to get it online for $13.00 shipped to his home.
We'll see.
Any other suggestions, tips etc. feel free to post them!
Thanks....

I have the same code for my truck. 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2 l auto. 4x4.
But my reader states Shift solenoid A performance or stuck off.
I do have a slip from 2nd to 3rd. But there is no slip whatsoever when I
do have the O/D off. My O/D switch is damaged, but I am able to turn
it on and off. Just wondering if I still need an A/Trans solenoid.
