Default speedo calibration

Hello all long time. I ended up getting a new transmission put in my dakota after a serious rebuild failure. Anyway i have been trying to correct my speedo for my 4.56 gears and my 33.5 inch tires. I have ordered a 36 toothed speed sensor pinion gear which will correct my speedo for the gear change but not for the tires. Every company i have contacted that sells tuners(hypertech, procomp, Jet, SCT) alll say the same thing. For the tuners to work and calibrate my system i need 4 wheel ABS which i do NOT have. however i did find this JET product that hooks to the speed sensor which should correct for the oversized tires. Has anyone else had to do this with their 97?
Accu-Speed
Part #: 50110

The JET Accu-Speed for 93-up Dodge, Ford, GM, Jeep and Toyota trucks and SUV’s modifies the vehicle speed sensor output readings to correct the speedometer after making gear ratio or tire size changes. Shift points in automatic transmissions are also corrected. The Accu-Speed connects to the transmission output speed sensor and is calibrated with the turn of a switch.

*The JET Accu-Speed is only available for automatic transmissions.

Superchips wont work for pre 98 vehicles and i asked my dealer fora reflash and they wouldnt do it. I wish i knew someone who re-flashed them. On dakotausa.com there was a guy named tom fox but he is unheard of now.

Dealer wouldnt do it cause they said a 4.56 gear was not a option with my truck or any truck. How much would a dealer re-flash cost? Yeah thanks dodgeramguy85 the superlift truspeed is the same thing as the JET accuspeed. Ill have to look and see which one is cheaper but they are both cheaper than 200 so if thats cheaper than a re-flash ill go with JET or the superlift.

once you install the 36 tooth gear you should be right as far as speedo and trans shift points go ,, only other thing you could do is use a GPS with speed read out and see if your speedo readings match the GPS speed readings ,,

Edit: Doh! Sorry. Didn't read that you had already called Hypertech.

What about Hypertech?

i would believe his speedo will be off 5+ mph with 33's. i went 1inch bigger and im off 2.5mph at 60. tire charts ive looked at showed the same results my gps showed. the faster you go the further its off.

Hey my good ole speedo buddy lol. I was waiting fo you to chim in. That website helped me a ton. And your right idk what i was thinking but tire size was added into the math in finding the 36 tooth count so that should fix tire size and gear change calibration. Thanks again man
