Hello, I had a question about doing a custom exhaust. I really want to do a true dual exhaust but the factory setup goes into a single pipe and another cat with an o2 sensor after it. My question is do i need to have that cat there or will it trigger a check engine light? Also what would I do with the o2 sensor for the other pipe? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Taking the cat off wont throw a code but if you have to have emissions or an inspection for your truck it wont pass. As for the sensor after the cat ive aleays heard to just zip tie it to the frame leaving it connected, or you can spend the money to get somethin to plug in its place but i aint sure what its called. Also welcome to the forum, you'll find lots of good advice here.
