Default ABS/Brake light

Been having this trouble for a while. Start my truck and drive for a little bit and the abs and brake light illuminate and stay on till i turn it off. The truck only has abs in the rear and the brake system is working fine with no problems. I have replaced my speed sensor and the rear abs sensor with no luck. Also the cruise doesnot work but i think its because of the abs/brake signal to the computer. I took the truck to a local dealer and they said they ran diagnostics and it showed they couldnt even communicate with the abs module??? They wanted 595 bucks to replace the module and labor. I wasnt having a problem untill after i did my heater core about 4 months ago. after i put the dash back in and hooked everything up i drove the truck then the light came on. Even if something is unhooked what is there inside the dash that has to do with the abs other than a brake switch?

I`m having trouble with my abs and brake light comeing on too for about 2 weeks or so now , comes on right after i start it up sometimes , i can shut off the ign and turn it back on and the lights will stay out after that , i dont have any problems either with the brakes or abs ,, i have also replaced my rear diff sensor back in Jan and my cruise still works ,, so i dunno whats going on yet ?? but i have noticed that it seems to do it most when the weather stays damp and rainy more than a day or so ,,,
