highway mpg
So yesterday i drove down to denver from fort collins, its about an 80 mile drive, up and down hills. i reset my computer mpg calculator right when i got on the freeway and put the cruise control on at 68 mph. when i got home i was happy to see this. i know the computer can be pretty inaccurate, but regardless of that it still put a smile on my face just thought i would share. this is a 02 QC 4.7 auto by the way. what is everybody else gettin on the highway???

Well recently I have pretty much done 40% highway and 60% "city" driving and on my last fillup (yesterday) I hand calculated it to just about 17 mpg. I think it's pretty good, especially since it was pullin about 13.5 in the winter even though it's the 3.9. So i am happier now.
I filled up yester day after a mix of city and highway driving, i always hit my trip whenever i fill up so i divided how many miles i drove by how many gallons it took to fill up and had gotten 16 mpg, and this is with a 98' extended cab R/T 5.9L 360. So after seeing what the v6's get im glad i got the big motor.

I get between 16 and 17 average, but on the highway it reads about 22 (thats the display above the mirror though, for how accurate it is)

I don't get it either. we had a 360 durango and that got about 12. Although, that was 4 wheel drive so it's probably because yours isn't. But neither is mine so in that case mine should be about 20 haha. I have an efan in mine since it's an 02. just put a Heavy Duty fan clutch in too because my old one wasn't disengaging.
