I posted the link above. Definately get some type of muffler with REAL sound insulation rather than just chambers, V-6 motors just don't sound good most of the time and you have to get something with fiberglass in it to lessen the raspiness and honda-civic-ness of the V-6

My Dak has the 3.9 V6 and I put a magnaflow muffler on it about 6 months ago. It's a pretty long chambered one (don't remember the exact model, I'll have to look around), so it actually sounds decent for a V6. Another thing I did after the muffler that made the sound a little deeper and I didn't even expect it was putting the V8 throttle body in. I think this summer I'm gonna get an ebay CAI and see if it changes anymore. But most importantly I'll gain a little bit more hp... hahaha

Sorry it took me so long- been busy.

All I have is a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler w/ stock exhaust pipes and a cheap eBay intake. That's it.

The trick is the muffler, super turbo muffler has fiberglass insulation which helps keep the annoying droning sound that flowmasters are famous for to a minimum. The intake also makes it sound deeper.

I assume you could do duals, but you don't want to do a true dual exhaust with a V6. Then you only get the sound from 3 cylinders through each muffler, and your truck will sound like one of those idiots with the coffee-can muffler honda civics. If you got a single muffler with single-in and dual out that would work, then you could have the 2 tail pipes for good looks and still have a decent sound.
