I don't see how having a V6 laying around is gonna help you, but if you gotta buy the engine I would say do a diesel swap or at least that's what i would do. But a v10 swap would also be cool.

Several put them in, usually the Viper V10 which is the same externally. Check the FAQ in this section.

With that much more power being dropped in i would be concerned about the fram twisting with the extra power.

Indeed, the frame would have to be reinforced. Perhaps some solid tubing.

Your seriously looking at so much work and money that it would be better off to just buy a v10 ram. With gas prices the way they are right now no one wants to touch a v10 ram at least around here, I know just in my area there are 3 different ones for sale. Thats all within a 5-10 mile radius. Personally I would go cummins over a v10. I almost had a v10 5 speed and it was awesome but after driving my buddys 24v 6 speed cummins I was in love even more!

Default Why not do both?

You can't go wrong with a diesel, but if you really want a V10 then why not do both? If a VW V10 TDI can pull a 747 airliner, it should really make your truck fly. I am putting the 1.9 four cylinder version in my QC, it won't have the power of the V10 but at over 280HP and 450TQ it will run circles around my 4.7 and probably still get over 30 MPG highway.

Actually the VW is nuts...I wanted one when I saw they came out with a v10.
The rolling resistance of a jet isnt overall that high. I mean, I think it only takes like 44midgets to pull a 737 or so...

I do love the Michellin warning not to go over 20mph.
