Default "pop" sound, right front, when turning

Have 2001 Dakota, bought used, and it makes a "popping" sound sometimes,in the right front wheel area, when turning left especially. It may do it turning right also, but not as much. Any ideas? Thanks.

+1 Frydaddy... Half shaft (aka CV axle). Typically the right axle will make the most noise when turning left.

Could be cv joint, tie rod ends, ball joints or bad bearing. Mine did the same when my hub bearing went but it was pretty bad.
