Rear end swap.. Quesion???
I would think that as long as the rear is a 9.25. Take lots of pics and compare. Good luck on the swap if you go that way. BTW are you getting this axle for free or really cheap? I ask because you can get a auto locker (Lockrite for example) for a little over $300 and they are easy to install. They are not as street friendly but are strong. You could also buy an Auburn LS for maybe a little more $.

i know that on the durango the rear end is spring under axle even on the 4x4s. make sure that there is a flat spring pearch on the top of the axle where the center bolt and u bolts would mount. and if it doesnt you cant just switch the axle upsidedown and call it a day. the way the ring and pinion gear are set up if you flip the axle upside down you will burn out the pinion bearing in a matter of miles because the ring gear is supposed to throw fluid in a certain direction in order to lubricate it under normal driving conditions. hope this helps.

yeah if it is spring over axle you should be good. i dont recall ever seeing a durango with that though but i havent really dealt with them much so i could be wrong. just make sure its the right gear ratio for your truck because i know they came with at least two different ratios. but like the above post said also, you might be better off getting an after market locker for your rear end that you have now. cause the posi units they put in those the clutch packs on the side gears are made of play dough
i cant tell you the amount of those i have replace in the field. mine has 105000 on it and still holds strong but i might have just gotten lucky with that one.
