camper shell install

Default camper shell install

Hi all,

Im about to purchase a camper shell for my 99 dakota. just wondering if anybody could recomend a good brand. i also wondered if anybody knows how to remove the rear window so that I can use the camper shell's slider window.

are you getting standard cap or a camper? if a standard cap or topper, i love my ARE cap, they cost a little more but they fit really well. as far as the window goes, i do believe it is held in place with the rubber seal, if not you have to cut out the black goo they use to hold it in place. you can use a bare wire or a "piano" wire to get it out. if you have the money, call a glass company to take it out, have them put a slider in to while their at it. better yet get urself a aftermarket power slider.
